2 arrested in violent tourist purse-snatching

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities have arrested two people in connection to a violent purse snatching.

A Brazilian tourist was robbed as she was leaving the Costco along Biscayne Boulevard, on July 10.

After the robbery, the suspects dragged the victim more than 40 feet. She suffered multiple wounds to her face, shoulder and legs as a result.

Detectives said Nicole Kuhar and Ryan Hughes confessed to the attack while they were being interviewed as suspects in a vehicle burglary.

According to detectives, they also found the victim's passport in the suspects' possession.
