BAY HARBOR ISLANDS, Fla. (WSVN) -- An Ohio woman who took to the streets for help to pay for a breast augmentation is teaming up with a South Florida plastic surgeon, who offered to help.

Krissy Lane has been getting a ton of Internet publicity lately. A video featuring a bikini-clad Lane on a motorcycle parked on the side of an Ohio road, holding a cardboard sign that read, "Not Homeless: Need Boobs," recently went viral.

Someone posted Lane's video on the Facebook page of South Florida plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer, which prompted the doctor to contact Lane and offer her free breast implant surgery. Salzhauer said, "About 10 days ago, somebody posted a picture of [Lane] and her story on my Facebook page."

Salzhauer flew in the 37-year-old bartender, and did her measurements in preparation for the surgery. "I'm excited, I'm very happy," Lane said. "I can't wait. I am ready."

According to Lane, the surgery will not only boost her bust size from an A to a C, it will also increase her self-esteem. She said, "I know it'll make me feel better. I'll feel more confident."

Dr. Salzhauer is performing the $6,500 breast augmentation for free. "I think it was her unique approach, being honest that this is what she wants," said Salzhauer.

Salzhauer is also no stranger to publicity. In March, he caused controversy by promoting nose jobs with a tongue-in-cheek punk rock music video.

Lane's surgery took place Friday morning. The doctor reported it a success, and there were no complications.
