Several gather at new memorial site for Trayvon Martin

SANFORD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A new memorial for Trayvon Martin has been placed outside the gated community where Martin was killed.
A group of supporters gathered at the memorial Sunday afternoon. The group prayed and placed flowers, teddy bears, iced tea and skittles outside the community where the 17-year-old was shot and killed by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in February. "I have a son and I can imagine if it was my son. "I would be devastated like his family is. I feel like I'm a Martin/ I am Trayvon Martin," said one woman.
Last month, the City of Sanford moved the original memorial to the Sanford museum. Organizers said the new memorial is just the beginning of keeping Martin's name and story alive.
