Fire erupts at local school

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A fire broke out at a South Florida charter school, Saturday afternoon.

Thick, black smoke was seen billowing from Red Apple Charter School along South Federal Highway and Jackson Street. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze.

Officials later discovered a possibly toxic substance inside.

No injuries were reported.
