Pedestrian struck in the street

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida pedestrian is recovering in the hospital after being struck in the street.

Police said the driver lost control of the car, striking the man along 13th Street and Washington Avenue on Sunday. The impact shattered the glass windshield.

The driver did remain on scene and rescue crews transported the pedestrian to the hospital in serious condition.
