Police: Gunman opens fire on couple

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida couple is recovering in the hospital after being shot multiple times in their car.
The shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday along Northwest 52nd Street and 27th Avenue. Miami-Dade Police said 62-year-old Oscar Padilla and 51-year-old Maritza Colidres were driving when a gunman blocked their path with a truck.
Police said the gunman then exited the vehicle, fired shots in their direction, striking both of them, before taking off. "They're both in very critical condition we haven't gotten very good news from my aunt, yet I do know that my uncle has been taken to IC and he's no longer in the critical condition my aunt is in," said Hector Galeano.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed the husband and wife into surgery that night at the Ryder Trauma Center, where they continue to recover.
