MIAMI (WSVN) -- Two sea turtles have been released to the wild after several weeks of rehab.

The Miami Seaquarium took care of the green sea turtles after they were found weak and unable to swim in South Florida waters.

The turtles were nursed back to health and can now swim off into the wild. "It's very important to release these guys. The green sea turtles, they're endangered," said Miami Seaquarium spokesperson Jodi Tuzinski. "We need to do everything we can to help out the species because their numbers have been decreasing over the years."

Onlookers were excited to see them swim in their natural habitat. "They get to be free and have a family and get to swim free," said camper Jack Houston.

One was released in Haulover Beach and the other in Dania Beach.
