Fire erupts inside local apartment

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that charred a South Florida apartment.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames at the apartment building on Northwest Fifth Street and Eight Avenue, Sunday.

No one was hurt, but the fire caused damage to one unit.
