Officer stabbed during investigation

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida police officer is OK after being stabbed while investigating suspicious activity along the railroad tracks in a neighborhood.
The attack happened at about 11 p.m., Tuesday, along Northeast Second Avenue and 72nd Street. Police said the officer was talking to a subject, when the subject stabbed him in the arm and ran off. "Fire rescue transported the officer to North Shore Hospital in stable condition," said Miami Fire Rescue Lieutenant Ignatius Carroll.
Police set-up a perimeter shortly after but were unable to locate the subject.
