Police search for armed suspect

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have released surveillance footage in hopes of catching an armed robbery suspect.
According to deputies, a man walked into a Walgreens liquor store and forced a female store clerk to hand over the cash while he pointed a gun at her.
The robbery took place at the Walgreens on south Military Trail on Aug. 3, just before 9 p.m.
The Broward Sheriff's Office hopes the video will help generate leads in the on-going investigation. "The best leads that our detectives have at this point is this video," said Broward Sheriff's Office Keyla Concepcion. "We can see it is a male dressed all in black. The shirt seems to be a black T-shirt with an Adidas logo on the front. He has a hooded sweatshirt that he's wearing over that, a stocking cap, and he's also wearing dark sunglasses. But, hopefully, someone who takes a look at this video will be able to identify him for us."
If you have any information on this robbery, call Broward County crime stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
