11 doctors face judge for pill trafficking

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Doctors accused of writing a prescription for trouble faced a judge.

Eleven people accused of being involved in a Pompano Beach pain clinic appeared in court Friday.

They face a list of charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering.

DEA agents teamed up with the Broward Sheriff's Office to bust the clinic on Thursday.

Authorities said the doctors and clinic owners ran a pill mill, illegally selling thousands of prescription drugs.
