Police search for chain snatcher

WILTON MANORS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for the thief who ripped off a man's chain at a gas station.

A man could be seen on surveillance video at a 7-Eleven gas station in Wilton Manors driving around the business last Friday.

Moments later, the suspect approaches a man pumping gas. Police said the suspects asked for directions then snatched the man's gold chain off his neck.

The victim said attached to the chain was a precious memento given to him by his grandfather. "I've been wearing it for 14 years and never thought someone would want to steal it. It means a lot to me," said the victim.
