Teacher faces termination after alleged inappropriate texts
LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) -- A school teacher accused of inappropriate texting received a lesson in the law.
Karl Richards, 32, could be losing his job. The Broward School Board approved the superintendent's recommendation to terminate him, but Richards can still appeal.
Broward school reports show the Parkway Middle School music teacher exchanged more than 1,000 texts with a former 15-year-old student.
Police said they are not pressing charges, although the content of the messages was inappropriate, it did not support such action.
