Security officer gets foot stuck on track

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A security officer is recovering after getting his foot trapped between a Metro Rail train and the platform.

The incident happened Tuesday at the Vizcaya station near Southwest 32nd Road and First Avenue. Crews said the officer was boarding a southbound train when his foot got trapped in a gap between the train and the platform.

All incoming trains were rerouted to the another track, while rescuers freed him.

The trains are now back up and running on their normal tracks.

The security officer escaped with non-life threatening injuries.
