Police search for supermarket crook

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are searching for a robber who broke into a local supermarket last month.
The robbery occurred in early August at the Saveland Supermarket along Northwest 87th Street and 32nd Avenue.
Surveillance video caught the man putting a van in reverse and then rammed the front of the supermarket.
The suspect then entered the store and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. "They broke the whole window and the cement on the bottom," said Kari Chevere. "It's just incredible, people these days instead of getting a job, they want to come and steal at a supermarket. Doesn't make any sense. Get a job."
The business sustained more than $15,000 in damage.
If you have any information on this burglary, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
