Police search for burglary subject

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have released the sketch of a man accused of burglarizing an elderly woman's home.

The burglary happened on Aug. 24 at a home on 13th Avenue and Southeast 14th Street. Fort Lauderdale Police said the 91-year-old woman woke up when the burglar broke into her home and began rummaging through her nightstand.

The man then allegedly grabbed her by the neck and placed his hand over her mouth. The victim eventually broke free and the subject fled in an unknown direction.

The subject is described as being in his mid to late 20s with short hair and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with dark pants.
