DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have given the all clear at the central campus of Broward College after someone allegedly pulled a gun on campus.

Police ordered the campus' lock down to search for an armed man after an altercation, just after 2 p.m. Friday. Someone called police to say they were involved in a fist fight where someone pulled a gin.

The college sent out a text alert soon after that read: "BC Alert: Armed intruder/shooter@ Central. Seek shelter. If off campus, avoid area." It turned out no one was shot or fired a weapon. Police arrested a man after a search of the college campus about 20 minutes after the alert went out.

Peter Wasilewski received the text message. "I didn't wander around," he said. "I was in a different room, so I just basically stayed in the room, and whenever this is over I'll get a text and just come out."

According to officials, all three men involved were students there at one point.
