Volunteers remember 9/11 with service project

MIAMI (AP) -- Volunteers will remember the victims and heroes of Sept. 11 with a service project in Miami.
Miami-Dade Parks along with other organizations are spearheading a volunteer project for September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.
Volunteers from various organizations and schools will commemorate the victims and heroes of 9/11 through volunteer activities, on Saturday at Tropical Park in Miami. The activities include landscaping, refurbishing the horse stalls at the Equestrian Center, cleaning, building, and various other projects throughout Tropical Park.
The day will kick off with speeches remembering the fallen through community service. A special patriotic tribute will be presented by Boy Scout Troop 712.
