MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are searching for the gunman who fired shots at an Overtown park and sent at least 300 people running for cover.

The shooting happened just after 9:30 p.m. Friday at newly renovated Gibson park near Northwest 13th Street and Third Avenue. Investigators said the bullets started flying during the middle of a little league football game. "We were just on defense playing, and then I guess when they were playing, they were talking and then they just started shooting," said football player Thomas Burns, "and then the whole team ran by the shed over there."

Rescue crews transported three people to an area hospital and police are now searching for the gunman. "Just pulled out a gun and started shooting at everybody just talking to some, 2 girls got shot and a guy," said an unidentified woman.

If you have any information on this shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
