HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two men suspected of being the so-called "ninja robbers," have been slapped with federal charges.
The FBI arrested Michael Gonzalez and Clifton Lamonthe. Agents took the pair into custody Friday after an operation to stop armed robberies at convenience stores in Broward County. The men were caught after they allegedly robbed a Dania Beach store on Friday.
An Aventura Police officer fired at the men and injured one suspect.
Agents are trying to tie the men to at least 18 robberies across the area.
