Memorial held for local firefighter

TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) -- Hundreds of firefighters from across the state paid respects to a South Florida firefighter who lost his life

Tuesday, a service was held for Joshua Schwabenbauerat at Temple Beth Torah in Tamarac. The 26-year-old was a 5-year veteran of the Lauderhill Fire Department.

He died from head and spinal injuries after diving into a sandbar during a Labor Day celebration at Haulover Beach.
