Police find elderly woman's body in lake

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Crews are investigating the discovery of an 89-year-old woman's body near an assisted living facility.

Sunday morning, Hollywood Fire Rescue received a call regarding a body in a lake near Classic Residences along Sheridan Street and Park Road

Crews pulled the elderly woman's body from the water, and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities believe she was a resident of the nearby assisted living facility.
