Child hospitalized after pickup hits him

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A child was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle.

The 8-year-old was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center after he was hit by the pickup truck Monday.

Officials said the truck struck the child while he was riding his bicycle in a neighborhood off of 441 and Eagle Cay Way in Coconut Creek.

The driver did stop.

The child's condition remains unknown.
