MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are investigating a shooting that killed two people and sent two others to the hospital.

The fatal shooting happened Monday at a home on Northeast First Court and 68th Terrace, just before midnight. According to Miami Police, people were gathered at the residence for a Monday Night Football watch party, when shots rang out. "It appears that it was a get together, so there was various people that were here," said Miami Police Officer Kenia Reyes. "As a result, shots started ringing out, people started running, four were shot, two fatally wounded."

A resident who lives in the area described what he saw after shots were fired. "I heard a pop, pop, pop, pop, and I looked out my window and I seen a man running down the street holding his pants," said Clay Owens.

Police said one victim died on scene and the other died at the hospital. "One remains here on scene, the other subsequently died at the hospital," said Reyes.

Residents said the pair who died were juveniles, who were brothers. However, police have not confirmed that information.

The two other victims are listed in stable but critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Authorities are now trying to determine what sparked the shooting and are interviewing witnesses. "Someone must have seen the person or the persons run," said Reyes, "so obviously if it was a get-together, there may have been noise. Perhaps someone may have heard the shots."

Police believe they may be looking for a young male or possibly two. They do not know what car they left the scene in. If you have any information on this fatal shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
