1 dead, 1 arrested in Overtown shooting

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Authorities said one person is dead and another is in police custody after an argument led to a shooting.

The homicide happened early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on Northwest 11th Street and Third Avenue. According to police, a dispute between two people at a home escalated into a shooting.

Miami Police said the shooting left one man dead and one man in custody. "The gunman that possibly killed this man in early morning hours has been taken into custody, but we need a little more information as to why the argument broke out," said Miami Police Officer Kenia Reyes.

Police said this shooting is not related to Monday night's shooting in Little Haiti.
