Crews quickly extinguish fire

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Fire crews responded to a fire Tuesday morning.

Firefighters put out flames at Northwest 30th Avenue and First Court before they could spread to a nearby church and house, Tuesday morning.

Officials said a concrete grinder somehow burst in flames in a field sending thick, black smoke into the air.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
