NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating a shooting in a South Florida neighborhood that left one dead and two others injured.

The shooting happened just after 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, along 22nd Avenue and 52nd Street. Miami-Dade Police arrived to find three victims with gunshot wounds. According to detectives, a gunman opened fire on the group with an AK-47 before driving off. "A lot of gun shots, like 10 or 14 gunshots, a lot of gunshots," said resident Rusuque Isaac.

Rescue crews rushed the three men to Jackson Memorial Hospital where one was pronounced dead. The other two victims are recovering in stable condition.

Authorities are now trying to determine the cause of this shooting. "Because it's so early in the investigation, we don't have a motive. However, we did recover some firearm on the scene," said Miami-Dade Police Detective Roy Rutland.

Police said they are searching for a person of interest.
