North Miami approves alcohol sales at strip club

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida city has approved alcohol sales at its first-ever all nude strip club.
Thursday night, the board voted 5 to 2 in favor of lifting the ban and allowing the proposed adult entertainment business to sell alcohol.
Parents are outraged by the decision, saying they want to protect their community. "Well, it's not a secret to anyone that strip clubs involve not only alcohol, but unfortunately drugs and other stuff," said Natalie Pyrig. "It was even mentioned, I think, by someone on the board that, you don't know what these people will be doing."
The proposed club will be located at Northeast 151st Street and 21st Avenue and many worry it will be too close to children .
Despite the approval of alcohol sales, opponents promise that this is not the last complaint they will file against the proposed club.
Meanwhile, the attorneys and developers for the project say they will continue to follow proper procedures while they build.
