Police search for crooks in chain robbery

WESTON, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for a pair of crooks causing a crowd chaos at a South Florida truck stop.

The incident occurred at the Seminole Truck Stop along Highway 27 Thursday morning.

Surveillance video captured a man who suddenly sprayed pepper spray into the crowd, while his accomplice snatched a man's chain off his neck.

Kimberlyn Clarke was caught in the commotion and is listed in critical conditions.

Witnesses said she fell and hit her head after being overcome by the spray. "Her friends went over to help and discovered that she was gasping for air," said her mother Marjorie Crossfield. "Her life is on the line. If anyone knows anything can they come forward."
