HS band members appear in racy music video

MIAMI (WSVN) -- School officials are investigating after members of a high school marching band appeared in a controversial music video.
A controversial music video that debuted on Sunday showed six drummers from Miami Northwestern's marching band in the background of the explicit video, along with exotic dancers.
The song is called "Bandz a Make Her Dance" and is known as a popular strip club anthem.
The drummers, whose faces were mostly hidden, were wearing their famed royal gold and blue uniforms, as well as the white headdress embroidered with the school's initials.
According to the school, while school officials knew the band members were given permission to take part in a music video, they were unaware of the true nature and content of the video. They said not only was the school deceived, but those band members as well.
Northwestern's principal released a statement to "the Miami Herald" that read: "It's just outrageous to think you have an individual take advantage of a school and students for a video. They're playing their instruments and thinking it's something innocent, wearing our uniforms, only later to find out they edited the video with racy content."
Miami-Dade County Schools released a statement to 7News: "It's a terrible shame that the good name and proud tradition of Miami Northwestern Senior High School and it's Marching Bulls were taken advantage of in this way. Our legal team is closely reviewing this matter and will do everything possible to fight this disrespect to the school's honor."
The school board is now reviewing the video, and its unclear if any legal action will be taken.
