Deputies arrest man accused of firing at officers

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida man who prompted an extensive manhunt after allegedly shooting at Hialeah police officers has been arrested in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Hillsboro County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 23-year-old Andy Roman Wednesday afternoon. Authorities tracked him down as he rode in a car with a female friend.

Roman is facing at least five counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

The search for Roman began on Saturday after a gunman shot at Hialeah Police Officers with an AK-47.
