Boil water order for Hallandale Beach residents

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A boil water order has been issued for Hallandale Beach residents living east of the Intracoastal.
The boil water order remains in effect until mid-afternoon Thursday.
On Wednesday, thousands of residents were left without water after a water main broke and flooded the area near South Ocean Drive and East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
Officials said nearly 8,000 residents were left without water for hours. Crews repaired the pipe and restored water service later that day.
An automated phone message will be sent to all residents once the boil water order has been lifted.
