Shots fired at school; 3 arrested

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have taken three people into custody after shots were fired at a South Florida high school.
Police responded to North Miami Senior High School located 13110 NE 8th Avenue after reports of shots fired, Friday afternoon.
According to school officials, the gunshot hit the building and a window, but no one was hit.
Police have taken three people into custody. A handgun and a car has been confiscated.
The school was placed on lockdown for several hours, but that lockdown has since been lifted. "I was in an FBLA officers meeting, and they were like, 'Teachers lock yourselves, there's a code red,'" said a student named Marissa. "So the teacher ran, locked the door, into a storage closet. I was thinking what's going on? like there's someone probably inside the building because I've never been in code red before."
The three suspects arrested were not students.
Police continue to investigate.
