Memorial to be held for deputy killed in crash

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Memorial plans are in place for a deputy killed in a tragic crash.
Twenty-two-year Broward Sheriff's veteran Christopher Schaub will be honored by a crowd of family, friends and fellow officers on Tuesday Oct. 2.
Schaub was on his motorcycle when he was struck by a car at the intersection of McNab Road and Andrews Avenue on Wednesday.
He later died at the hospital.
A viewing will be held Monday Oct. 1, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Kraeer Funeral Home in Pompano Beach.
He will be laid to rest the following day at 11 a.m. The funeral will be at Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale, along Cypress Creek Road and 24th Avenue.
