FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The owner of a Tamarac daycare center faced a judge after a child tragedy.

Cecily Roberts was in court Monday after being extradited from New York. The 43-year-old is charged with aggravated manslaughter and childcare misrepresentation.

A 4-year-old boy died after an underage worker from 3Cs Daycare Center left him in a hot sport utility vehicle back in August.

Police found the owner-- and her daughter-- charged in the child's death, running another daycare center in Brooklyn when they were arrested.
