Officials join in search for missing UF student
SWEETWATER, Fla. (WSVN) -- The South Florida community is coming together in the search for a missing University of Florida student.
The mayor of Sweetwater, the police chief and officers are loading up ATVs and will head to Gainesville Tuesday morning. We've also confirmed, a short time ago, that FBI agents are also involved in a support role.
The group is joining the search for 18-year-old UF freshman Christian Aguilar. He graduated from Doral Academy and has been missing for more than a week and is presumed dead.
Pedro Bravo has been charged with the murder of Aguilar. He appeared in court Saturday and was denied bond.
A service in memory of Aguilar has been scheduled for Wednesday, at 8 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Church, at Northwest Sixth Street and 128th Avenue in West Miami-Dade.
