Trial begins for man accused in murder of wife

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Coral Springs man charged in a chilling crime involving his wife is going to trial.

Jury selection is underway in the murder case of Munawar Toha.

Toha was in court after making a dramatic public plea two years ago for his wife's safe return after she disappeared.

Police said surveillance video showed Toha dumping his car into a lake in Pompano Beach with her body inside in 2010.

The mother of two disappeared after dropping off her kids at school.
