Undercover investigation ends in shooting

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police were forced to fire at a man after an undercover investigation took a dangerous turn.
Detectives from a robbery unit were approached by an armed man while conducting surveillance along Northwest 14th Avenue and 113th Terrace on Thursday.
According to authorities, they identified themselves as officers, but the man refused to stop. Officer where then forced to shoot and kill the suspect.
Neighbors heard the commotion. "We were sleeping," said Grant Antoine. "After 11 I think, we were awakened by gunshots. Must've been three or four. So we looked out and it was a huge police presence."
Detectives later recovered the gun from the man.
