Man dies in police-involved shooting

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police said they were forced to fire during a confrontation with a subject.
Detectives were conducting surveillance Tuesday night along Northwest 14th Avenue and 113th Terrace, when a man approached them with one hand behind his back.
Police said he refused to comply with their commands, and they were forced to fire. "We were sleeping, after 11 a.m., I think, we were awakened by gunshots. Must've been three or four [shots]. So we looked out and it was a huge police presence," said neighbor Grant Antoine.
The subject died on scene.
Officers said they recovered a gun in the man's possession.
