BSO deputy released from hospital

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy is on the road to recovery after being injured on the job.

Deputy Joe Bialczak, a 22-year veteran, was released from Delray Beach Medical Center, Friday.

Investigators said Bialczak and another deputy stopped to help a driver in distress along Interstate 95 in Lake Worth on Thursday, when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

Bialczak is now recovering at home.
