POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A parasailing safety request has been rejected following a fatal accident.
The Broward Marine Advisory Committee voted against a motion for the county to impose safety standards on Friday.
County officials said it is soon to act because the investigation into the accident is not complete.
A Connecticut tourist died in August after her harness broke in Pompano Beach.
In 2007, a 15-year-old girl died after crashing into a hotel roof when her line snapped, also in Pompano Beach.
