CRESTVIEW, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a fired Panhandle police officer faces charges related to stealing marijuana from his station's evidence locker.
Records show 26-year-old Tim White was arrested Thursday and released on bond the same day.
State Attorney Bill Eddins told The Northwest Florida Daily News (http://bit.ly/QLijFy ) that White faces up to five years in prison if convicted of charges including perjury and evidence tampering.
Before he was fired, White said in a letter that he had acted at the suggestion of a former supervisor who has since been indicted on other charges.
