POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Homecoming season is here and many South Florida girls who cannot afford to buy a dress are seeking help from Becca's Closet.

The organization started over nine years ago by high school student Rebecca Kirtman, who later died in a car accident in 2003. "Becca's Closet is a memorial to our daughter, Rebecca," said organizer Pam Kirtman. "While she was in high school, she collected dresses and gave them away to girls."

The charity carries on her memory by collecting and donating new and used formal attire for high school girls, who otherwise would not be able to attend school dances. "They help you get your dress, and they're not going to let you leave until you're really happy with your dress," said dress shopper Enith Alexandre.

To find out how you can receive or donate a dress, you can log on to www.beccascloset.org.
