FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The animal cruelty trial of an elderly South Florida man is underway.
Eighty-one-year-old Hume Hamilton has turned down a plea deal of five years in prison opting for a jury trial.
A surveillance camera caught graphic images after Hamilton brought a dog onto a porch in Fort Lauderdale, allowing the do to attack and kill a pet cat back in June.
In addition to animal cruelty, Hamilton is also charged with baiting animals.
