Police arrest two men in robbery

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A robbery suspect was allegedly caught in the act.

Police spotted a car break-in while conducting undercover surveillance outside Planet Fitness along 163rd Street and 16th Avenue in North Miami Beach.

Police said a man used a screwdriver to pry open the glove box before driving off in his stolen rental.

Police later arrested the driver, Shawn Roberts, and a passenger, Christopher Scott.

A handgun and other stolen items linked to several area robberies were found inside the car.
