Police officer pleads guilty in drug case

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A former officer receives a plea deal in court.

Ex Miami-Dade police officer, Joey Ganem, plead guilty to possession of cocaine.

The 27-year veteran was arrested last year after officers spotted him purchasing the drugs.

As part of the plea deal, he'll receive 2-years probation and multiple fines.

He must also officially give up his certification as an officer.
