Police search for suspect involved in deadly hit and run

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A hit and run horror left a father mourning his son.
The father and son crossed the southbound lanes of Old Dixie Highway at 264th Street in Southwest Miami-Dade.
That's when a speeding car clipped the father and slammed into the son before it sped off. "Yea, we got off the bus," said Curtis Geddes, "crossed over Dixie Highway. This car was speeding, going real fast, and after he hit my son, it kept on going and you can hear the engine roaring."
"But ya know," said a witness, "definitely that car that hit that person, they didn't slow down, they didn't stop, no disregard for human life."
Police are searching for the vehicle that was possibly involved. They believe it was a 2006, white Hyundai Elantra.
If you see a car matching the description, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers, (305)-471-TIPS.
