MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are searching for the gunman who opened fire on a car filled with passengers on a South Florida roadway Sunday night.

Police said three men riding inside the car traveling along Northwest 10th Street, near Second Avenue, were shot at, just before 9:15 p.m. The driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree. Investigators said a passenger sitting in the backseat was fatally struck.

"You know, it was just a senseless killing," said the victim's uncle, Reggie Williams. "From what I heard, he wasn't the guy that was the target,. It was somebody else. He was an innocent bystander, you know? He was in the passenger seat and took the majority of the shots."

Rescue crews transported the other men to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

If you have any information on this deadly shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
