1 dead in shooting in neighborhood

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in a South Florida neighborhood.

Officers are investigating a double shooting at Northwest 148th Street and Ninth Court. A panicked neighbor woke up Monday morning to discover the body but said she never heard gunshots. "Makes me feel scared. I don't think I really like this neighborhood anymore after all the gunshots happening around here, but there's nothing I can do about it," said witness Marielena Avariano.

A second victim was injured.

Sirens wailed in the neighborhood, as police cleaned up and investigated the shooting.
