SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A kitten will soon be looking for a home after crews rescued it from a drain.
The kitten was meowing for help after it fell into a drain near Kendall Drive and Southwest 137th Avenue, Thursday.
The little guy barely kept his head above water when rescuers arrived. "In this case, we've done this more than one time, so we have specialized equipment to lift up the drain, look down inside of it, and there was the kitten swimming around in the water," said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Scott Mullin.
The kitten was cleaned up and will soon be put up for adoption.
